In collaboration with the physician, this position is responsible for diagnosing, treating and providing medical services to inmates of the Department of Corrections consistent with community standards of care.

The Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) delivers care to inmate patients utilizing the nursing assessment protocols in assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established philosophy. LPNs collaborate with the Registered Nurse to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. LPNs effectively interact with patients, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing.
Correctional Nurses provide care to inmate patients to promote & improve their overall health utilizing the nursing process in triage, professional training and various resources in accordance with regulatory agencies and established guidelines. The inmate patient population often generally has not had consistent access to healthcare prior to their incarceration. This provides an opportunity for nurses to see and care for an interesting variety of health concerns from minor ailments to major and atypical conditions.

$70,000 (LSW/LAC) or $75,000 (LCSW/LPC) PLUS a chance to earn up to $5000 COVID Differential (Limited Time Only)
Residentials for the Adolescent Population located at Virtua in Camden
MUST have NJ LSW/LCSW/LAC/LPC.

Organizes data concerning patient’s family, medical history, and onset of symptoms obtained from patient, relatives, and other sources, such as nurse and social worker. Examines patient to determine general physical condition, following standard medical procedures. Orders laboratory and other special diagnostic tests and evaluates data obtained. Determines nature and extent of mental disorder, and formulates treatment program. Treats or directs treatment of patient, utilizing variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.

Functions as a team leader as assigned.
The Corrections Site Medical Director is responsible for overseeing the provision medical services to inmate patients of the assigned facility consistent with current CFG clinical guidelines and community standards of care. He/ She provides the overall supervision for clinical services at the assigned site while managing and evaluating the medical program activities based on the company goals, objectives, and philosophy according to industry standards and contractual obligations. The Site Medical Director manages primary and consultative services, collaborates with subspecialists, and interfaces with hospital provides to assure timely and appropriate care for inmate patients. The Site Medical Director provides continuous quality control of health services through education, service audits, and studies. The Site Medical Director will also function as liaison between correctional officials, public agencies, and the company as part of this role. The Site Medical Director collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure effective inmate patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes, while maintaining the established guidelines.
Serves as the chief on-site administrative manager responsible for the delivery of contract services, and supervision of personnel & liaison services within the institution.
