The Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) delivers care to inmate patients utilizing the nursing assessment protocols in assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established philosophy. LPNs collaborate with the Registered Nurse to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. LPNs effectively interact with patients, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing.
Correctional Nurses provide care to inmate patients to promote & improve their overall health utilizing the nursing process in triage, professional training and various resources in accordance with regulatory agencies and established guidelines. The inmate patient population often generally has not had consistent access to healthcare prior to their incarceration. This provides an opportunity for nurses to see and care for an interesting variety of health concerns from minor ailments to major and atypical conditions.
In collaboration with the physician, this position is responsible for diagnosing, treating and providing medical services to inmates of the Department of Corrections consistent with community standards of care.

Diagnoses and treats patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Organizes data concerning patient’s family, medical history, and onset of symptoms obtained from patient, relatives, and other sources, such as nurse and social worker. Examines patient to determine general physical condition, following standard medical procedures. Orders laboratory and other special diagnostic tests and evaluates data obtained. Determines nature and extent of mental disorder, and formulates treatment program. Treats or directs treatment of patient, utilizing variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
*Temporary 4-6 weeks, 20 hours/week*
Performs general administrative support to all employees within the nursing unit.

Provides clinical services to include assessment, screening, brief therapy and community referrals to patients.
Performs general administrative office assignments, medical record keeping and functions as a communications link to and within the health care unit as appropriate.
10k Sign-on Bonus
Salary range is 110k-120k

POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees the performance of the nursing staff to ensure effective inmate patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes in accordance with established CFG clinical guidelines and the standard of professional nursing.
Correctional Nurses provide care to inmate patients to promote & improve their overall health utilizing the nursing process in triage, professional training and various resources in accordance with regulatory agencies and established guidelines. The inmate patient population often generally has not had consistent access to healthcare prior to their incarceration. This provides an opportunity for nurses to see and care for an interesting variety of health concerns from minor ailments to major and atypical conditions.
Serves as the chief on-site administrative manager responsible for the delivery of contract services, and supervision of personnel & liaison services within Corrections.
