RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform and document medical evaluations, assessments, and treatments.
• Collaborate with a healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote a therapeutic environment to ensure inmates are treated professionally, ethically, and discreetly.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Current, unrestricted RN license to practice in the same state as the facility.
• At least 1 year of RN experience in correctional healthcare preferred.
• A current CPR/BLS card with demonstrated cognitive skills is required.
• Must meet security clearance requirements.

 

Required Skills:

• • Excellent critical thinking and assessment skills.
  • Assertive, empathetic and able to provide care objectively.
  • Microsoft proficient.
  • Experience in working with Electronic Health Records.
