The Floating Counselor position for Partial Hospital Programs will provide coverage to programs that have current positions vacant.  Programs include CASTLE Program at Camden and Berlin, A Step Ahead Program at Bridgeton and Emer and the CARES Program in Trenton.


  • Provides direct care and management of patient population. 
  • Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients. 
  • Facilitates regular groups that address specific identified treatment issues and reinforces the patient’s treatment plan. 
  • Provides observational feedback within the multidisciplinary team context.
  • Accurately records daily patient progress in the medical record as well as completing other required paperwork. 
  • Rides along with the van driver to transport patients to and from program.
  • Annual certification in the CPI  and Handle With Care behavior management systems.



  • BA in psychology, social work or related field..
  • Must have demonstrated abilities to work with a team and to be able to manage multiple responsibilities with professionalism. 
  • Ability to accept supervision and guidance.
  • Seeks opportunities for personal and professional growth.
  • Current certification in CPR and first aid.
